According to a Twitter account that sends rumors about the upcoming technology, the next generation of GPUs from both AMD and Nvidia will be unlike anything we've ever seen before, both in terms of green power and power consumption. Twitter user @ greymon55 has posted specs that could be GPUs from both camps, and although they are clearly rumored at the moment, they point to what could be a jump for both companies, and the flagship cards they offer successfully. more than double the power of modern tent products.

Starting with Nvidia, the tipster shows the upcoming Ada Lovelace AD102 GPU will be built with 5nm processor from TSMC, which is a big change as its current Ampere GPU range was produced with Samsung's 8nm processor. The TSMC 5nm processor is responsible for the impressive Apple SoCs used on both its iPhones and its new M1 Pro and Max silicon. It has to pack 144 broadcast multiprocessors, compared to 82 in the current RTX 3090. It may also have 18,432 CUDA cores, an increase of 54 percent. These rumors are linked to past rumors from a separate poster. It should maintain its 384-bit memory bus capacity, and will continue to use GDDR6X memory. Clock speed can go as low as 2GHz-plus, but this is one area where rumors are rife. New leaks suggest that Nvidia can rip watches up to 2.3GHz, resulting in FP32 performance that simply pulls the jaws, gaining between 85 and 92 Teraflops. The RTX 3090 is capable of making 35 Teraflops, so it could be a big jump.
Of course, all that power also means that the card will be a powerful beam, which is very likely. This particular publisher suggests that the AD102 can eat somewhere between 450-650w up, and hear similar rumors that the card could eventually reach somewhere around 500w. This is also a good jump from the current size, which is 350w on the RTX 3090. The previous generation of GPUs all came out at 250w, speaking generally.

In the AMD camp, rumors are hot again, sorry pun. Named the RDNA 31 aka RX 7900 XT, the next GPU flagship from AMD goes from monolithic construction (Nvidia will obviously be attached to it in Ada) to Multi-Chip Module architecture ( MCM) similar to the one we currently use. some Ryzen and Epyc CPUs. According to WCCFTech, AMD will be lowering Compute Units (CU) in favor of Work Processor Groups (WGP), while MCM will have Graphics Core Die (GCD) and Multi-Cache Die, the first from on the TSMC line of 5nm, and the last from its 6nm process. With two GCDs per card, it equates to 7,680 cores per GCD, plus a total of 15,360 cores, compared to 5,120 “streaming processors” on the current RX 6900 XT, but with such a big change in architecture, comparisons between older and younger ones are getting smaller. purposeful.
Data output will be 32GB of GDDR6 on a 256-bit interface, 256MB of Infinity Cache module for a total of 512MB of on-die “3D” cache, and clock speed of around 2GHz in range. This would allow the GPU to achieve the estimated FP32 performance of about 75 Teraflops, which is lower than the rumored power of Nvidia's Ada card, but the power of FP32 translates directly into game performance. In the end, the rumor maker says he has no data about the full board capacity, but they think it will be between 350-550W.
In summary, we know that this is just a rumor and it may not be a sign, but rumors like this are all long overdue, and are accompanied by leaks from about a year ago, so the expectation is quite high for these GPUs. Also, the most interesting question these GPUs present is the one OP posted on twitter, "Dual performance, dual power consumption, would you accept it?" Our answer? Oh, hell yes we can.
