As the recovery speed increases, the bullet speed increases.

SKS:

Slowly the recovery speed increased, and the bullet speed increased.

VSS:

Throughout the range, marksman guns have been re-evaluated to return them to the meta. The SLR and SKS will enjoy faster bullet speeds, with the Mini14 damage reduced, as VSS has recently become very powerful across the board. The developers did not attribute the change to weapons of mass destruction.

DP28

Reduced ammunition speed, reduced long distance damage, reduced head injury.
